I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
